I went through a phase of not listening to it, but over the past 6 months I've found myself jamming it a fair bit, weird how things work out like that sometimes.

I never listened to this when I was in my teen years, but it absolutely holds up even today

Easily their best album. I skip Boulevard every time though just because I've heard it way too many times

Yeah that song was everywhere man. I kinda feel like this was one of the last rock albums where the singles were all huge and even people who didn't listen to this type of music knew them.

I might be having a selective memory episode though.

Muse - Absolution had a billion singles and I think a couple of the My Chemical Romance albums too but yeah funny how they all came out around the same time as this

Here in Argentina only time is running out got a huge promotion. None of the other singles were relevant until the release of supermassive black hole.

Ok, decided to give this another shot seeing as I've not listened to it fully for an age. Still don't like Boulevard or Holiday. Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming are both excellent and forgot how sick Letterbomb was. Still overrated but a lot better than I remembered

Destroyed and revived it really, after Warning they were going nowhere.

Yeah it really is odd to think there was a time when Green Day was doing something exciting, and it was different for mainstream music.

Also Warning is a great album that deserved better.

lol @ Atari, this really *did* doom them. but damned if it isn't lightning in a bottle at the same time. a song like "whatsername" has no business sounding so potent in 2021
