So imagine in the middle of a well-funded Bright Eyes tour Conor Oberst gets drafted and goes through 5 miserable
years of malnutrition and harsh battles. At the end of one particular battle, he sees multiple companions die
and he and a soldier he's never conversed with end up stranded. The other soldier is sitting on a log smoking a
boag, while Connor silently weeps and starts to hang a noose around his head. In his last few moments of life he
makes eye contact with the other soldier and the man says to him: "Stop being such a faggot."
