Wreath rules ahrd, don't get why it's considered weak.

Wreath used to be my 2nd favorite song by them way back in the day. Nothing weak on here, drags in a few places but the middle run of songs are all amazing.

Agreed but there's still some awesome riffs knocking about.

by the pain is far from being one of the worst opeth songs. starts dragging towards the end but otherwise it's a pretty killer track

It's great but I prefer almost every other song they've recorded before Pale Communion

For Absent Friends is so beautiful and followed by Master' s Apprentices it's even more amazing.

it's got a neat spot between Fair Judgement and Master's Apprectices, really works out for it.

This is a terrible review... This guy is pretty much upset about what other people say about this band so he set out to bring the band down...

Just take a look at this stupid remark "The companion album of Opeth's opus, Damnation, Deliverance was intended to provide a contrast to Damnation's tranquil, somewhat depressing progressive rock" Deliverance was released almost a year before Damnation and it was certainly not intended to provide any contrast since they are 2 separate albums.

Why can't Sputnik replace this review with an objective one? This hurts the credibility of the site

Yes it was. They were recorded during the same sessions and Opeth even considered making them a double album.

It's also only been a few months between the releases.

This was 100% intentional and the main focus of these two albums. Deliverance was the heavy one, and Damnation was the light one. The artwork is near identical with the obvious contrast of dark and light. How you don't understand this is mind blowing.

it starts even before that and then up until the end - top-notch Opeth right there.
