Agreed with CalculatingInfinity and SpiritCrusher2. I love the production on each of those albums for different reasons, and it's perfect on here to fit the mood. It wouldn't have sounded right if this sounded like Orchid or Morningrise, it's completely different.

This needed the polished production for the details and calmer moments yet needed to sound huge as well due to the size and scope of the heavier sections yet it doesn't loose a piece of darkness in its sound.

He's literally abandoned DM forever now guys, should read or watch his most recent interviews.
I can understand the vocals being banished cos his harsh vox have faded with age, but the heavy groovy riffs can still be there surely.

Yep people need to move the fuck on now, it's been 4/5 years since Heritage so the initial shock is gone. Sure he could have done it a much better way musically/attitude wise but ultimately they can do what they want, if you don't like it don't support them. Speak with your wallets.
