I think this is becoming favorite death album.

This is still my fave, but their discog as a whole still has some settling to do with me, I think.

This and Human are interchangeable for my second favorite after Symbolic, both are very different though. Gorguts might be the only other death metal band to rival Death's output of consistently amazing albums that all sound pretty distinct from each other.

I listened to symbolic, the sound of perseverance and human years ago and this is the only prog-era death album that's not fully digested, which is why I have deaths albums all at 4.5, it's a tough decision.

Therefore, I'm unsure if this is my favorite because I love it or it's just new to me.
