'wonderful life is very fun. but yeah i don't get why this album has a fervent fanbase'

Because the whole album is great fun, other than the 2 big stinkers.

Damn, how is this tied with CYB as their lowest rated LP?

I was a little mixed on it upon initial release, but it seems better in retrospect. Certainly superior to their most current LP.

A 2.8 seems quite harsh.

Sempiternal is unequivocally their best album.

TIAH is prob 2nd for me, but it contains easily BMTH’s best song (that song would be one Crucify Me, of course).

Yes I was definitely implying a relisten is in short order for sure. I haven’t listened to any BMTH in awhile, just randomly hopped on to listen to a few songs. Will give it another look.

How are you all not mentioning I don’t know what to say either?

It’s such an exceptional song

Yeah tbh some of this is honestly so not my thing, I am not a pop guy, but In the Dark does it for me…guilty pleasure I guess you could say.

I was running through some of this again though and realized some of the songs I like, I don’t like quite as much as I recall and there are quite a few I just don’t like. Had to take that 3.5 down to a 3 as a result.

'we're so full of S.H.I.T.'

'Everybody's full of S.H.I.T.'”

I feel silly for not seeing this right away, but also think I was sub-consciously protecting the band by refusing to see it because this is real cringey

Couple of problems here, but this album is light years better than the post human stuff, which feels more like a regression

yeah i feel like ludens + parasite eve in particular are kinda the peak of their modern sound, and am fairly certain they were both released as singles quite a bit before the EP itself / closer to amo's release.

while i generally like the rest of the post human stuff it is sorta disappointing the rest of it kind of sits in a linkin park meets mick gordon purgatory

They should be doing more crazy shit like Itch For The Cure/Kingslayer. They're at their best when they mix the heavy elements with the glitchy electronic shit.
