First listen is a little underwhelming. It sounds diluted and the production doesn't do it any favours.

I'd take it over the new Blink any day but yeah, it's disappointing. There are a couple of solid hooks but the songs really run together.

honestly i think whats kinda throwing me off is that the singles (which i thought were all like 5/5 songs) kinda prepped me for something more like this. hello exiles a looot more midtempo than i expected. i guess i j gotta get adjusted to what theyre going for

i cant stop drinking is really really boring imo. maybe the least ive enjoyed a song of theirs

Got about halfway through on my way to work. First impression is underwhelming. Poor drummer has got to be bored out of his mind, every song is just as basic as it gets for him. I'm guessing this will grow on me after expectations have all been set aside. The overall sound & production is really nice, and I think this will be one of those albums you've got to be in a certain mood for. Definitely more mellow than ATP

Yeah, I shared the same feelings onion. I couldn't dig it until I read the lyrics haha.

"Our worst fights are when we get silent" I felt dat. Also the callbacks to After the Party and Anna were awesome.

So the new album is my first time listening to these guys. Thought the first few tracks were rad but it got a bit too samey as the album progressed. Things will probably start to stick out more on repeated listens though.

@onion you were right, the back is better! I LOVE I Can't Stop Drinking, might be my favorite right now. Strain and London are both great too.
