Oh yeah, Maynard is absolutely brilliant and he's not a wreck, so I don't imagine he was a frequent user. Yea, it's refreshing how direct and humorous he is. He's not afraid to speak intelligently and deeply about things. There's so many people out there that want to slap a "pretentious" tag on it, but that's simply a sorry-ass excuse for being infected with stupidity. He's brilliant.

I would say Undertow is their weekest. This just happened to follow the masterpice that was Lateralus so it was kind of a let down.

Overall this is still an amazing album with a few weird songs. Coming from a drummer though, Danny does some of his finest work on this album.
