Very sad to hear of Neil's passing to say the least. With the circumstances, I'm happy that Rush stopped when they did, giving him the little bit of time he had left to spend it where it mattered most - in his Garden.

RIP legend. Thank you for all of your gifts.

got in to my car on friday night a few hours after the news broke....put Rush on shuffle (every album is loaded on to the ipod) and the very first lyrics I heard were:

"Suddenly, you were gone, of all the lives you've left your mark upon"

^ wow, fitting. Peart’s lyrics could be really deep. I did the same and when the shuffle came to Losing It and The Garden I was just a mess.

I love how this album at times feels like the guys were in the studio discussing "they've been telling us how we've influenced progressive metal bands for the better part of our career, now let's make a progressive metal album ourselves to wrap it all up"

Haven't had time to drop by to comment on Neil's passing. needless to say, both my wife and I were shocked and saddened. Rush is, hands down, our favorite band of all time. We spent the weekend listening to vinyls, watching videos and reminiscing about all the fun times we have had in relation to the band.

Neil will be missed. Godspeed and RIP.
