His best and one of the decade's best too.

Funny thing is that I cannot stand Beth/Rest. Almost as much as I hate his new stuff

Gotta say, "Perth" might be one of the most frustrating songs I've ever come across. Some aspects of it I really love, some are really grating.

“Beth/Rest”, “Holocene”, and “Wash.” are definitely a cut above the rest but upon re-examination I’m finding most of this is pretty excellent.

Emma is his best and from the look of things, he'll never come as close to it as he did here

After revisiting all BI to prep for 'i,i' I'm having a hell of a time deciding whether I truly prefer 'For Emma' or this, and which one deserves the bump to 4.5.
This has a little sag in the middle for me, but the Perth -> Towers run is incredible, and ending on Beth/Rest is otherworldly.
'For Emma' is more consistent imo, and while the it doesn't have a mind-numbing run quite like the first four tracks here, it opens and closes with two of my favorite Bon Iver songs. I've always loved Flue, and Re: Stacks might be the best thing he's ever done.
