Vocals are fine. Anderson is basically a more mellow Geddy

I see what you mean by more pleasant but tbh I generally prefer Geddy. That raw energy on Rush's earlier releases is one of the things that makes them so fantastic.

Anderson is pretty godly too though

Don't know if I could have any Yes at a 5 tbh

Gave this another go, and still feel the same way.

Prefer Floyd, Genesis, Camel and KC tbh.

Instrumentally speaking this might be the best of the big prog albums, agreed

"You don't have to be a musician to play in a rock band.
You just have to love it and want to play it"

I agree with zak generally, I'm not usually a big prog fan cause of the wankery but I don't find yes self indulges as much

It's all perception ofc, we can't all have the same opinions, preferences, etc.

True that, but what is undeniable is the overall over the top technicality, performance and ideals of it all.
I'm sure it was Yes who appeared from a UFO during their live act which made Whisperin Bob Haris say how far from the
blueprint of rock it had all come.
It was the catalyst for the bands who wanted to revert to basics, speak about what was happening and connect to their
audience like their influences did......here comes punk

lol nice one dude.
It's all channelled, a representation of the hopes, despairs and confusion of the lost voiceless generation(s)
There was absolutely no need for the gobbing though, I don't think I'd have put up with that.
