iridescent is their best ballad imo. easily the best track with the heavy U2 worship that bled through on this and especially MTM

I wish I could get behind the 4.5s and 5s for this

my only real problem is that burning in the skies and robot boy are pretty mediocre and some of the interludes are pretty pointless (empty spaces especially). otherwise this rules

Robot Boy is fuckin excellent, Burning in the Skies used to be a negative for me but its really grown on me.

The only kinda pointless interlude for me was "The Fallout"

"Burning in the Skies" is one of my favorites on here :/

Agreed on "Robot Boy" though, maybe I'm missing something but the only thing I get out of that track is a dose of some neat vocal harmonies. Feels like an extended interlude to me.

Also "The Messenger" is a horrific closer

I don't really dislike any song on here but I also wouldn't put anything from this in my all-time faves

so 4/5

also "this is still the best thing they've ever done by a considerable margin" [4]

and I'll add that given their current trajectory they will never beat this, ever

This album like takes U2's aesthetic and adds rap and somehow it works

This album has it's fair share of great songs. The Catalyst and Iridescent are fantastic. Bottom line, they tried with this one lol unfortunately not all of it works. It's infinitely better and more mature than One More fucking Light that's for sure.

"shadow of the day and in between were dull"

hard disagree. I actually prefer Shadow of the Day over With or Without You, and this is coming from a seasoned U2 fan. Also think the LT ballads were fine in comparison to the rest of the album but far from LP's best

"The Catalyst" and "When They Come for Me" make me want to 4.5 this, seriously two of the very best Linkin Park songs
