Any song of the new album other than Onyx is that.

I don't hate Onyx, but it feels... meaningless?

I view Onyx as an ominous comedown, functions well as that

I wish they gave us at least one more full track.

@TalonsOnFire Absolutely. I know someone that saw them in 2013, and he said that it was one of the best shows that he had ever seen and he wasn't even that big of a fan.

I love Onyx personally. If I had to pick a favorite though, I think it'd be Eclosion. It's not easy to pick though; it's the quickest 5 I think I've ever given and all of the songs are essentially on the same level.

Onyx is cool but is kind of has that "Our Fortress is Burning III" feel from Ashes: on first listen you expect more amazingness, but get a noisy soundscape instead. Good stuff though, but for what I wanted out of Kodama, the first five songs are where it's at.

They did do one more full track though, the bonus track. Which people are saying is really good.

This album is pretty short too, and basically drops all the black metal after track 3.

Sounds like the new one is structured better.

This band is hardly black metal really, this and Kodama hardly have any elements of it. The bonus track is cool and better than Onyx, but also pretty meandering

I have it and it is pretty damn good, but the album felt a little short. Maybe just because I played the three singles so many times that only 4 songs were new to me.

Alright upon first listen Kodoma is great. As in 3.5, which will probably grow to a 4 but in no sense is it better than this imo.

Right now im looking eagerly ahead towards Saors new one , if the promo tracks are any indication
