idk, this certainly sounds like industrial to me, regardless if it's in combination with other genres

I mean, this is a pretty entertaining album, maybe I just need to embrace Trent's vox more.

it suits the music - would be too weird if he sang like james blake

"Piggy" has a nice, cool vibe to it.

Hard for me to pick a single fave though. Closest for me would be maybe Heresy.

Hersey is one of my best off this as well.

pretty edgy for a 15 year old
also evidently millions/billions of people do actually care.

Reptile is definitely the creepiest song off here and a great tune at that.

i think all trent was trying to do was just make what he came up with. he didnt want it to sound like anything in particular, besides what was in his head.

nevertheless, this is probably my favorite album of all time. tomorrow it will be announced whether or not theyll be inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame. they really deserve it.

"If it makes anyone feel better, Trent Reznor doesn't in any way consider his music "industrial" thus NIN, technically, shouldn't be considered "industrial" :-)"

How can he not? Later stuff maybe, but early NIN is Industrial all the way.

Deep Purple has waited a long time to get it, so it'd be nice if they do.

Yes deserves it too, even if I'm not the biggest fan of them, I can't deny they were a highly important prog band.

It's also pretty typical for some artists to reject certain genre labels.

Anyway, they could get a spot on that list.

Just because Reznor doesn't consider it industrial doesn't mean it isn't.

and who cares about hall of fame really?
