TSOP is easily my favorite Death but it only vaguely resembles death metal, more so extremely technical progthrash with black metal vocals. Still, the sheer technicality of it is mind blowing.

Their first three are pretty much interchangeable for me despite all being pretty different, I love all their albums though. I'm pretty sure SBG was the first death metal I ever heard, probably seven years ago when I was around thirteen and it blew me away
