How can a guitar tuning have humanity

Missing the point lmao. Half the time these bands that tune lower end up stripping away all the human aspects to their sound because humanity isn't "brutal" or "heavy" enough.

humanity is gay

It's a lot easier to retain authenticity at a higher tuning, because then you're forced to actually put effort into your writing to keep it on the heavier end.

When you're in Drop G or lower, you can just 00000 your way through and nobody will even care because it djents.

How the hell am I to find what's hot in the genre without browsing forums? If I'm looking for songs of a specific genre and lyrical theme...r/metalcore is the best place I've found, but they still offer a lot of the less favorable parts of the scene more, I've noticed.

Don't listen to what's hot. Listen to what's good

The only way to find the good shit is to LOOK. Or I could just be a hermit, listening to the same 5 2000s bands when I'm in a metalcore mood.
