I am also poor but since these fuckers never come to my neck of the woods I felt like I had to support them other than my generous spotify minutes

I think this is a huge step up for them but all of their records are so different that I don’t really have an argument against that.

I don’t know the plot with these guys but to me this feels like a finale. If they top this I will be in awe, I know this isn’t the most hostile thread to make this claim but this is literally top 3 screamo oat bare minimum.

Nothing they’ve done prior comes close imo, and I even like all their shit. This one is just something else.

Maybe one of the best albums ever

Havent gone a day since this was released where i havent been thinking about the emotional impact of this and how powerful it is. Pacing is great, the lyrics, the riffs and the vocals.. everything is spot on

This “Screamo/hardcore” whatever you wanna call it album is so full of grace, complexity and emotional intelligence that it’s almost too good to be true. One song that makes me realize this recently is Wind Song. It’s like so many genres pulled into one so gracefully and impactfully that it makes me think there’s no possible way this album in general can be topped this decade. It’s clawing it’s way into my favorite albums ever made.

it has the best flow i've ever heard on an album, complete perfection

i can't listen to individual tracks, has to be the full album front to back

i think given when it was released and what it means to the genre, at a time where ai slop is going to destroy music, it is my favorite album of all time from an emotional connection standpoint

is it actually the greatest album ever made? of course not...it's not on the level of wish you were here, sg peppers, pet sounds etc, but nothing is ever going to reach that level again
