@jay: self titled does not deserve to be thrown anywhere near something like fashionably late or the new one, there's an ocean between them quality wise

Never could get into that early ETF stuff, Radke's vocals irk me in an irrational way lol. I know that's moreso a personal problem for me
This band on the other hand hits that sweet emocore spot that even bands of that era could not

I have a very soft spot for early BFMV and DIYLF hits that spot often. But yeah def some filler on there

DIYLF's pretty solid, i don't think it's their best like most say but i'm kinda convinced i got a completely diff copy of the craig era albums as everyone that talks about them like they're not right there in the same pantheon as stuff like lets cheers to this / selfish machines / collide with the sky, specifically self titled

[2] Monte was actually such a good guitar player. Dude could shred
I never liked the Craig Mabbitt stuff. Radke is an asshat of a human being but always dug his vocals way more

honestly, even before i learned of any of ronnie's misgivings as a person, i preferred etf's craig work. the first album of theirs i ever owned on cd was ungrateful, self-titled is the one that's stuck with me the most over the years, and this war is ours was more immediate than diylf back in the day for me

ETF two releases with Ronnie are 5/5 for me and it makes me sad to say but goddammit it's so good. I legit never get tired of those songs. +1 for My Apocalypse. The bridge has always reminded me of the song The Inferno from The Goonies.
Wish Ronnie would walk into the Earth's core though.

Ideally after the US tour, I’ve seen these boys twice and it was basically the same set with crying added. I wanna see them play this whole fuckin thing
