I wouldn't say Tsunami Sea sucks ass, but I definitely vastly prefer this one. It's got way more personality and the songwriting is much more memorable
But also, Tsunami Sea's production/mixing does it no favors. Everything sounds so brickwalled and homogeneous, making all the songs blend together after a while

Might have been the venue in Denver because previous to that the show in London sounded amazing. Maybe America just sucks

"1 venue sucks....so every venue in the entire country must suck" ok. What was so bad about that show?
Also, I've seen Killswitch Engage live twice, and they are simultaneously the absolute worst band I've ever seen live, and one of the best. In 2009, Howard was sick and whined on stage about it the whole time and the overall sound was comically quiet where I could have a conversation with the guy next to me as the band was playing. Awful. Then, I just saw them in 2026 with Jesse and they annihilated it in all regards. In sum, it happens.

I think Tsunami Sea is a fair bit better than this but definitely agree the production on it is ass. Courtney's voice is just drowned out in so many of those songs and I wish they utilized Josh's vox more because he sounds great live.

Production on TS is the biggest drawback for me. Like they want the heavy guitars to drown out all the nice melodies and Courtney's vocals.
