EP feels like a bunch of good but messy ideas that don't belong on a Mastodon record, so they didn't go on one. This is a coherent collection of powerful and well-executed songs. Outside of "Show Yourself," I like every song on here better than every song on CDP, and dont see the two much in context with one another.
