I've got RTL and AJFA 4.5'd. I'd imagine this is pretty close.

30 years today since Cliff's untimely death. RIP.

"It may not be one of heavy metal's all-time greatest albums, but it certainly comes close in many respects." Are you sure about that? I can't really think of many better metal albums than this one. To me, this is what other metal albums should strive to be.

"and MoP has always been RtL part 2"
Oh dear
|
| |
well its pretty much a fact that this (and justice) made use of ride's template, but it's more mature and developed with more complex arrangements courtesy of cliff
i get people preferring rtl just because it's more raw, but any other explanation is bizarre to me

MOP is just RTL with down syndrome. As I said too many times. Worse songs, worse production, but still really enjoyable.

Yeah but this is also better then Ride, although slightly

RTL got Creeping Death Fight Fire with fire and Ride The Lightening. so it wins
also Fade to Black>One

I absolutely love Ride the Lightening, and might prefer the raw old school feel of it - but I think that this is unquestionably better. The song writing here is just obviously superior - title track alone is evidence enough of this.

I feel the songs themselves are better on RTL even if MoP has the better production values.

Nahhhhh. Trapped Under Ice and Escape are worse than anything on this album. Disposable Heroes is another one that's better than most of RTL
|
| |
The Thing That Should Not Be and Leper Messiah are the band's first abortions and those two are clearly inferior to Escape and Trapped Under Ice, which are great songs.

Aw, I love those songs. Agree to disagree.
