Not to Rowan, who’s made it abundantly clear that it’s the most uninteresting song ever lol

It pulls of the whole standard post rock climax thing masterfully with some extra stuff thrown in. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's great

first time I heard this, I definitely wanted more River vibes throughout the album but if you keep listening, you'll realize this album really doesn't need it and it's perfectly paced as is.

Yeah, the fact that River is incredible doesn't mean the rest of the album, which mostly doesn't sound much like it, can't be a hard 5.

though on my first listens River and South Street were clear standouts, the rest took a few listens to grow on me.

"Here Is Where" is absolutely stunning, as is "So Stay Close" and "Elder and Oak." I get the disinterest towards "Youngblood," its first half is a little generic, just a little. The second half is incredible though.

Elder and Oak is what got me onto this album but this is such a fantastic collection of songs. When's their next one due?

I think the only song I skip on this album is Roots, everything else is fantastic. I tried their self-titled but it just doesn't have the same polish as this.

Interesting. "Roots" is probably top three or four for me.

Youngblood's first part still sounds so nice even if you want to call it generic.

And I highly recommend their EP.

I think the weakest is easily Your House Was Aglow, but that's not saying much it's all masterful.

Ash Wednesday is weakest imo but then again the ending saves it

Youngblood definitely sounds nice, it's just not all that captivating. Ash Wednesday is lovely and House has such a reminiscing vibe to it. Love it.

Every time I hear their debut I always tell myself something like "wow, this is still really good, i should listen to this more" but never do. it's solid albeit a bit rough around the edges. definitely not even close to as polished as this but they still put their hearts into it.
