If people are bumping this in 2022 without listening to the Tamino from this year then what are you doing?

what's a Tamino?
Sput has it tagged with Trip Hop, so this is now an auto-check, nice... hmm, that may be his last album, will still be giving it a go mind

el tamino

eh, Tamino isn't really trip hop very often, maybe occasionally on the debut. He's folk/rock like Jeffy, just ... Belgian
his album from this year I rate top 6 of 2022, it's more subtle than this but a grower I tell you
has Egyptian heritage so not sure if that's why his music has also got some Arabic sounding influence in there too

someone needs to sort out those tags then, I did peek RYM for more accurate descriptors, so all's good...
I am still making it a priority check, thanks

some people find the new one boring...but I have my suspicions it is they and not el tamino who are being boring :/

Will be checking that Tamino for sure. Then perhaps making a revisit of this a priority fairly soon…

"More fruitiness"
Haha, I love that. So true. Buckley Sr. was a real one for that. He left behind such a unique catalog.

'Will be checking that Tamino for sure.'
I love half the album, minimum. The Longing, You Don't Owe Me and the closing triumvirate are all absolute belters.
Yeah, I know this ain't the thread for this, but there isn't a Tamino one, so what ya gonna do?

Good picks, the three tracks I have rated as ‘classics’ are ‘The Longing’, ‘You Don’t Own Me’ and ‘First Disciple’ but I really dig ‘Fascination’ and the last two as well

'First Disciple' is currently no.6, I reckon Doof. 'Fascination' is one I haven't really connected with though, not sure I dig the vibe, that and Sunflower are probably my bottom 2. Nothing on the album is bad, necessarily.
Oh foggy, I am very tempted, although there is definitely another album I'd prioritise, if I was to have another brief liaison with the writing game

Demon - I like ‘Fascination’ for bringing that ‘90s alt vibe, a bit like ‘Last Goodbye’…though it’s a lot weaker than ‘Last Goodbye’.
