i like magpie a lot but i would understand if you thought little by little wasn't great, it's pretty mediocre

Lotus Flower is one of their all time best, I'm not huge on Separator but it's still a good song.

"My Iron Lung" > "Street Spirit" tbh

Also I wouldn't say that TKOL has any subpar tracks, but "Separator" is probably the only stunner

Street Spirit is still my favourite from the album, probably the best indicator of what they would become at the time too.

Street Spirit and Just are the best here for me.

God tier 5/5 tunes on this are: Street Spirit, Iron lung, Fake Plastic, Just

Really great 4-4.5/5 songs: Bullet Proof, Black Star, The Bends

Good 3-3.5/5 tracks: all the rest (yes even Sulk and High & Dry for me)

I guess I rate the album somewhere between 4.5 and a 5 overall but there's just something about the overall tone and mood, plus Thom's singing and the personality in his voice...I'm happy labelling this album a 5/5

I remember when my mate told me his band were covering Radiohead and I got really excited until I turned up at the show and it was High And Dry.

Sulk is weirdly flat, the band admit something went wrong when they recorded it - they thought it was one of the stronger songs on paper

It's nonetheless a decent enough song, there are plenty of well regarded albums that would still be the best song on (cough, Coldplay, cough)

Would I rather the incredible 'Talk Show Host' was in its place - probably. That is a top 10 Radiohead song for me.

Gyro it honestly isn't unless you are genre rating which is fine...but just in terms of the fact this has about 8 strong songs and KoL only has about 5 is the first clue if you need one

Sulk is my least favorite on this, probably the only song I'd rate below 4/5 personally though.

Best tunes in no particular order are probably Street Spirit (duh), Fake Plastic Trees, The Bends, Bullet Proof, and My Iron Lung but I love them all.

This album is just generic. I've been listening to it again in the last hour and there is so much filler here. So many w.e songs with boring choruses.
