I've jammed Eternal 11 times in between work which should tell you how much I love that song. For me it is easily better than anything off Heritage and rivals Watershed's best songs (Heir Apparent, Lotus Eater and Burden). It's better than Burden but doesn't quite beat Heir Apparent or Lotus Eater. But that don't matter because both of those songs are in my top 20 Opeth songs at the very least.
Eternal has done a lot to restore my faith in Opeth I'll say that much.
And yes Axe's drumming is insane!

Heritage was the album that restored my faith in the band so there wasn't anything for this to restore other than to make up for
the
really poor single (Cusp of Eternity).
