Even Blur? I find it fairly irritating overall.

Blur might be the weakest song here, but even it's pretty fun.

Blur is the weakest song. But I still really like it

Basically M/M is the only Thrice album where I don’t skip a song or two — even on Vheissu, I occasionally skip Hold Fast Hope, Music Box, etc. I don’t do that on M/M.

I don't skip anything on Beggars or Artist.

The only song I am kind of iffy on with Vheissu is Image of the Invisible and with Illusion sometimes I skip Beltsville Crucible. Neither are bad songs, tho.

I typically avoid Blur. There's just something off about it for me. Rarely do I make it through the whole song.

On Beggars I do sometimes skip over All the World and The Great Exchange. Artist, Stare at the Sun and I tend to eject the CD after Abolition (skipping Don’t Tell).

It’s not that I don’t like them, but sometimes maybe I don’t have time to listen to the entire album so I’ll skip certain songs I like less so I get to hear the ones I like more. I still like the songs. And there are songs like this for most albums I love.

But with M/M? I play it all the way through no skips. Another album where I dont skip that comes to mind is White Pony.

I skip Image of the Invisible, See You in the Shallows, Stare at the Sun and Artist almost every time I listen to those albums, unless I just get an itch to hear them for some reason.

I usually skip Hold Fast Hope. All the World is pretty skippable yeah. Not only do I not skip anything on M/M, I require my friends stop doing whatever they're doing and listen to M/M with me.

You guys are crazy. All the World is Mad bangs so hard. I love when their songs have slightly darker vibes.

Yeah, the first 4 songs on Beggars are a great run.

Also, that key change in See You in the Shallows drives me fucking nuts and I despise it. Ruins the whole song for me.

Abolition of man is the only skippable song on artist for me. Illusion has none imo

But that ending with those riffs and vocals and drums and sexiness

I like Image quite a bit, but I occasionally just start at The Earth Will Shake lol.

Xingking— See You in the Shallows is probably my fav song off IOS! That said I’ve only listened to it twice so I’m sure I’ll get new favorites with a few more listens. But I love that key change.

LelAnd — yeah I tend to skip Hold Fast Hope probably half of the time I listen to Vheissu. I still like it though.

Really? That sucks that the one little thing craps Shallows out for you. There are so many fun guitar parts and the vocal melodies are great too.

Their catchier/poppier songs really turn me off, as you can tell from the few songs I listed above that I usually skip lol. But seriously, that key change is *atrocious* and Dustin's vocal range clearly wasn't capable of handling it.

While I agree with all the songs you tend to skip xing, see you in the shallows isn't one of them. That key change is pretty cool because counter to the majority of key changes it goes down three steps instead of the more common increase of one or two steps. It really works with the chords in the key the song starts on and I always thought it was a kind of cool choice. That and the song is too damn nostalgic for me to skip.

I never paid attention to what the key change goes to. I just assumed it went a half step up like the cliche is, and because it sounded like he was singing higher than the original chorus.

I like it. I think it works well and ends the song nicely.

Agreed. One of the highlights on IOS imo.
