I always thought British Steel would be the best Priest starter album.

what sets this album apart from other Judas Priest albums is the atmosphere and subtle instrumental sections. Halford also displays his best vocal range here too.
|
| |
This also has Priest's top 2 songs so it cant be anything but their best.

That's still tough. I have a hard time juggling this, Painkiller, and Stained Class.
COME TO THE ISLAND
OF DOMINATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON

Painkiller is barely top 5 for me. Never understood the fascination with that album.

I'm a speed metal junkie and find it arguably the best speed metal album ever made.

Victim is a better song, but Exciter is a better opener. Fuckin' Stained Class is the shit.

The album's so much better starting with Prelude indeed. Island Of Domination is best Priest closer ever.

You mean Deceiver ;)

Agreed. My CD has the wrong tracklist, but I still start it from Prelude/Tyrant when listening, it just flows so much better.

nah the right tracklist is starting with prelude/tyrant, i used to own the original 1976 LP and that's how it was listed on the back, but for some reason side A and side B got switched in later pressings
