Hi, i met a cool person who likes them and wore a shirt of this band. it seems like most of you fancy them too. I want to dig them and also lots of other metal-influenced bands like Kayo Dot or at least Sunbather but i just can't because all these screaming singers feel more weird to me in the sense that i dont feel the tension of why they need to scream.
I study this since a while why this happens to me that i cant grab it but dont know what i have to get more proper. Can somebody give me an instruction? It can be a very honest instruction. it is not like i am a funny character who is not okay with listening to intense and more hateful music or something. I am really just interested in digging into this genre more. And am like a turtle upside down.

But I mean what really makes a record accessible or inaccessible? Something that's "inaccessible" can be that way for a lotta different reasons to someone
A friend of mine who really only listens to stuff like Linkin Park and shit digs almost everything I throw at him, unless it's ambient stuff and songs that are really long (15 - 20 + minutes)
