I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he did on that one for some reason. Despite there being lyrics for it

What Xing said (2). Although to be fair the lyrics don’t always hit home every time I listen to this (as they’re difficult to decipher). I just know from reading through them in the past. The themes resonate, the emotion is there etc. that never goes away regardless of whether I remember each line correctly.

After revisiting this project multiple times over the years. I can safely say it's loud and obnoxious & has no redeeming qualities, so much so that I wish the system would let me rate this piece of shit a 1 but i've got to settle for a 2. Nothing about this sounds appealing to the human ears & barely sounds like music at all.

Regarding why what he screams on the record doesn't seem to match up with the lyrics, Jacob Bannon said this in an AMA a few years ago:
" I’ve touched on this before. There were many lyrics written for the album. In the studio I️ kept me lyric book and sheets in front of me, and didn’t necessarily vocalize full lines. Only fragments and aspects that were meaningful to me at the time. It made for a recording that was wild and unhinged. When designing the packaging, I️ chose to obliterate the type and treat it in this fashion as well. Obscuring some aspects, while keeping others visible. It was more of an artistic interpretation of the chaos that was recorded. Progressive/kinetic type was a “thing” in the larger design world back then, and the concept lent itself well to our visual approach.
I️ did release lyrics online at the time that were more in line with what made the album. They are online on unofficial lyric sites now, albeit with some strange typos."

Anyone got a link to the actual lyrics with “strange typos”?

art can be abstract
and not that I know of, he is literally just screaming incoherently on a lot of these songs. The only lyrics I know of are from the record inserts.

Converge create a masterpiece with their album Jane Doe, which is an album that people who embrace it, will not forget it.
