You’d have been welcomed with open arms Bob

That vaudeville, baroque, hipster emotion, millenial art shite has been pulled off on a total of three occasions to incredible effect.
Dry The River - No Rest
Neutral Milk Hotel - Aeroplane
Flotation Toy Warning.
Then you have Beirut who has some degree of tolerability
Everything else is a complete bollocks

I'm with Colton on this one. Actually enjoying it more than I expected after my first listen. It has its flaws though, but it's in no way terrible.

Like everything in the 21st century it has the traction and lasting appeal of a piss in the wind.

The windmill scene gave us Geordie Greep as a potentially intriguing one to watch develop…and that’s about it

You mean 1. artistically or 2. his persona/private life
Because 1. I disagree or 2. don't care

This > Goerdie yea

Hm. I don’t know if I agree. But neither are in regular rotation. I think I remember liking Greep more.

Midi/Black Country are both good albeit a tad oversold, I’d put Fontaines’ first two higher personally

The New Sound is the only thing from this universe that i thought wasn't overrated but that's just me

Black Midi’s debut wasn’t without merit to be fair.

Schlagenheim is a great album, Greep’s singing is somehow both the part that stands out the most and also the part that I like least about it. I’ve softened up with subsequent listens but my first hearing it I thought “what is he doing?”
