I hardly keep up with lyrics anymore for any band tbh. I try to figure it out by listening to the songs and if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck.
"they did sell a christmas sweater that said that"
It had cocaine Christmas written on it? Goofception all the way

gonna start slowly checking the other albums out as well, they are just so fun. I remember initially over judging them, but they are great happy jams.

If you listen to Acceptance speech make sure its the 2.0 version. It went from being one of my least favorites to a top tier dgd album

Idk if this band has ever made anything greater than a 4.0, yet they are still one of my favorite bands

@Chan I am in the exact same boat, I hate that none of their work qualifies as a "top 5 album of the year" for me, but cumulatively they are definitely a favorite band of mine.

Idk man, you tell me... let me suggest something so you can hit the whole discog relatively quick and enjoy good live recordings:

Here is a playlist of Tree City Sessions 1 & 2 (live performance albums) organized in order of release from their first album through their newest release.

It'll give a taste of everything in chronological order, the only hiccup is that everything will be sang with the newest singer Tillian, while the real reacordings of the first 4 albums are either Jonny or Kurt. tillian does a great job though imo and you clearly already like his voice since you liked AS, IG and this.

I'd rather a band have a discog full of straight 4s than a band with a couple 5's, some 3's and a bunch of 2's etc
Or I suppose it depends on the genre
Actually, cancel what I said. I dunno what's better.

I guess this is a minority opinion now but I really prefer Tillian to everyone else they’ve had

I think I may have the minority opinion of having little preference between any of their vocalists. Tillian provided the band with the stability to keep going though (they were originally planning to call it quits after Happiness and then again after losing jonny post DBM2)
