"The reality of dream" for the dumbasses who failed Spanish at school.

@botb - Jon Theodore (and Flea) both perform on the latest Bright Eyes record. In fact, Theodore is THE drummer for the entire record. Obviously not the same as prog rock drumming, but still a delightful treat to hear him in action again.

@rodrigo90 - Took 3 years of French in high school and currently in Spanish 2 at Uni, and I couldn't tell what it meant lol

I don't blame you, I can count at least 5 different past tenses in our language.

He also is the current drummer for queens of the Stone Age but you wouldn’t know it listening to the record

Noctourniquet is much better. I'd even say Octahedron is. Goliath is just tiring. After the song goliath it's just a mess.

Ouroboros is great after the song Goliath but agree not much else going on Keaton

Octahedron had literally nothing of interest to me though, though I think I only gave it a few listens. Might revisit it and Frances at some point because FTM sounded like they disappeared up their own arse whenever I’ve listened before.

For me, this, bedlam and nocturniquet are best

yeah octahedron is their dullest album by a wide margin for me, but i haven't heard it in many years. frances and goliath are my favourites. this one is... idk. that entire middle section of cicatriz is the definition of padding. like idk why we need 6 minutes of quiet warbles. the only songs that ever stood out to me on this were son et lumiere, dunkship of lanterns and televators. and televators can become sort of grating with how loud the guitar slides are. kind of a hard thing to unnotice

i'm due for a re-listen though. i can't even tell you a single thing about roulette dares, this apparatus must be unearthed, or take the veil cerpin taxt - i'm drawing a blank trying to remember a single thing about any of those tracks

Goliath is their worst [2]

Noct is underrated (/the least overrated along with Amp) and marginally better than this tbh

The Televators guitar slides are approx 1/3 of why I'd jam this, so no beef with them being loud lol

Noct does have one of their best songs tbh

Goliath is their worst (3) (maybe), although my rating is defective.

It’s an occasionally entertaining but overblown mess. Octo is mostly just dull. Could go either way I suppose.
