you dont like games (this is a big one that people tend to overlook)
you dont like that game
you dont like that genre
the game/genre is too hard for you
you dont have that many hours to spend but listening to music albums is easier to fit into your schedule

Mostly only a few songs from any given soundtrack I really love so can’t get into such a debate. I will say an underrated OST that no one really talks about is Spider-Man N64 OST. Sounds nothing like Sweet Trip, but if you want something that sounds like The Crystal Method run through a cassette tape. Badass stuff. I’d say the Halo 1 soundtrack is where the meat is as a whole, one of my ultimate faves ever.

All valid ya, just in my experience the OST really shines brighter when you have a frame of reference for the tracks
