Literally have the exact same tropes, chuggy riffs, whiny vocals, metalcore song structure, get over yourselves pls thinking you're so high and mighty listening to Erra over Periphery

Seriously dont understand why so much toxicity inbetween bands that are in the SAME GENRE, shits just dumb, periphery are one of the pioneers, if you dont atleast respect them for that then you're just essentially lying to yourself cause "bands bad grrrr"

Honestly Erra now (Drift/Neon era) is just Periphery lite now, they are just a less ambitious version of periphery, Impulse/Augment era though there were getting on par with periphery, but they squandered their chances changing their style so drastically in Drift, now they are a run-off-the-mill band that's no better than Miss May I

Augment shits on everything else within the progcore

Putting odd time signatures for the fuck's sake of it does not good songwriting make Misha

I would say Augment and P2 are about on par with each other, although they did succeed in making a more concise and "easier listen" when comparing both of their debuts, but to say one is far higher than the other is where I draw the line cause both bands have their strengths and weaknesses, they where on par in this era, but not anymore cause P4 absolutely trumps Neon for instance

Vocals. They just aren’t my thing. If they were just an instrumental band then I could probably get into it but the vocals just ruin any enjoyment I could possibly get from them.

Really wish I could have the all-encompassing dislike for Periphery like most do, but I just absolutely love their second album. That's the one time I think they put all the pieces to the puzzle together correctly.
