That piano and wind sample at the end of Odal is gorgeous, love the sudden hit of those drums at the beginning of I Am the Wooden Doors as well. Such a good transition.

My favorite part of the whole album might be that part after the acoustic section in "I Am the Wooden Doors" when Haughm sings "It is this grandeur that protects

the spirit within..." in his clean vocals, sucks that their newer stuff doesn't really make use of his cleans.

@dannyboy In my books it sort of is, it picks on influences ranging from industrial to alternative metal and nu metal, but yeah all in all fantastic album.



And THIS Agalloch record, OMFG this record is amazing. I love the silent part with the bluesy drum beat in The Hawkthorne Passage. Or the ending of Odal. Or the tempo changes and the folky acoustic guitar on In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion. Or the atmosphere of You Were A Ghost In My Arms. And The Desolation Song is pure beauty, fuck.
