All Over the World and Stormy Weather are the only ones I don't like on Bossanova tbh

"the Happening, Hang Wire and Havalina are 3/4 of the best songs here"

"Down to the Well, Blown Away and ESPECIALLY The Happening are all amazing"

Wow, I honestly didn't think people listened to this past Dig For Fire.

Impressive.

"Dammit, all of the Pixies hate should be directed at their reunion shit smh"

We all know that shit's shit.

Back in the day, this was their shittiest shit.

Now it's just okay by comparison.

Surfer > Bossa > Doo > Come on > Trompe > B-sides

The energy on this album is typically chiller, and slower, but that's not a bad thing, it's just different. Black Francis's songwriting is still strong, catchy, and memorable as far as I see it, including the back-half

I mean even its worst moments matter more than "La La Love You" like c'mon

No. But Velouria is definitely better than La La Love You :]

"No. But Velouria is definitely better than La La Love You :]"

That statement amounts to: "prime rib is better than mystery meat"

But seriously if you guys think La La Love You is better than most of Bossanova, you're a lost cause cuz La La Love you blows and this album rules

Yeah that one's good.

Feel like I say this too often, but this would've been better as an EP

Saying most of this album > the worst song on Doolittle isn't that huge a claim

I mean it is

That album is better than Doolittle soooooooooooooooooooo

As someone who heard them both for the first time on the same day years ago (god, it must've been like 9 years ago at this point,) I always found this one superior

But Surfer Rosa's even better....

It is probably the worst song on Doolittle (silver anybody?) but most of this album is still not better than it.

Ain't even better than Trompe or Pilgrim tbh

Silver is excellent but admittedly not a highlight
