This record & Catch 33 are prob my favorite. How does this compare to the new one? I heard Born in Dissonance on Sirius last night though and it was damn awesome. You seem like the shuggah' guy figured i'd ask.

Jeff - this has been my favorite band for about 15 years. Violent Sleep of Reason is now my second favorite alum by them (Catch 33 has been my favorite album ever since 2005).

Dayum. Well, that's good to hear. I'm excited to hear the new one then. I didn't know how to categorize these guys when I first heard them. It reminded me of a few other bands around the same time period in the mid 90's. Like, Strapping, or Fear Factory for example. People back then just categorized them as "future metal" or some weird "industrial" shit because they didn't know what they were hearing. It's funny how this whole Djent thing got coined. I look at as a bunch of bands that just hopped on the Meshuggah train. I think they're in a genre of their own.

I think that's pretty much the consensus on that "genre" anyways
