Always felt this got an unfair amount of shit thrown in its direction, yeah it ain't In The Nightside Eclipse all over again but I'd say it's the logical progression for Emperor as a band and qualitatively equivalent. I love that it's essentially a "fuck you" to everything and everyone - they recorded their most byzantine album and then called it quits to do projects they wanted to.
