“Solar Death is basically a Jesu track”

Yeah, I can see that, didn’t occur to me because the context here stinks.

"A song about the power of the sun. It’s a thick, distorted and dreamy wall of sound, drawing from 90s aesthetics and influences like Doom, Drone, and Shoegaze. In a way, it’s a successor to the concept of Melting Sun and that sense of old summer nostalgia. But it’s less organic, less “honey and bees,” carrying a more synthetic aura. A psychedelic vision of a sublime digital heaven. But alongside all the big words and all the dreaminess, the song is a little lonely and emo, too.

A little background story on the video:

A good friend of mine gave me an old MiniDV camcorder and it turned out to be a lot of fun to play around with. In the end, I put together a little DIY video for the song. My first time ever making one on my own, so don’t go too hard on me LOL Anyway, it was really cool to dive into the music from another angle and the OG LoFi ’90s look felt just right for the aesthetic and overall vision.

Back to the song: I bet you can hear it, but I made this song as kind of a tribute to Type O, Jesu and Nadja. Which are some of my favourite bands. I thought this might be interesting to know, too."

"Dog in the Wild" from Wildhund also sounds very influenced by Jesu.

I don't know, overall this sounds like a pop rock record with some alt metal influence but that's about it.

I think we can all agree on that.

Me personally despite listening to more metal than pop, I find the last one just flowing better. Getting a bit of ear fatigue on Wildhund
