Same here tbh. The ranting is just bizarre lol.

It's not the different taste of music, it's the way you talk to other people Tundra

I used to fly off the handle like Tundra, as we all know, but man, being chill is just the way to go for me nowadays. No use in getting so worked up for literally no reason at all.

imagine thinking the extreme metal scene has in any way stagnated when it's actually producing some of the most forward thinking and interesting music around.
there's nothing wrong with not liking it, but using it to insult people because they don't like the current trendy band of the month that you do is just embarrassing behavior for a grown ass adult

@hawks old timer in a young dudes body, that's even worse. You've succumbed to staticity that early. Hate to see you go out like that young little whipper snapper you.

Anyway lets move on back to the album and not reignite a shit fight.

I saw her last night and half of her setlist was stuff of this that I didn't recognise. I can't believe it's been two years since Negative Spaces

I feel like this entire thread could be resolved by saying that everyone likes different music. Mind blown.

Settled on a 3.5 for this for now because some of the songs really do blend together, but I think this is her 3rd best album behind only I Disagree and Negative Spaces. I think she should definitely evolve her sound next time, but this iteration/era of screaming Poppy is so satisfying.

if only every review thread could be like that

I've so far listened once and enjoyed it. Whereas I found the two albums after I Disagree boring as shit and haven't listened to them since, so there's something here for me

@heck metal would have completely died in the mainstream had bands like Sleep Token not came along to to evolve the sound for a modern audience. You might want it to die, but one must not forget that metal was once mainstream back in the 70s when it was first taking off. Metal needs gateway bands into the scene for it to continue to thrive and prosper.

Metal went mainstream around the mid 80s bro

who gives a shit what's mainstream? popularity and exposure do not equate to quality. the underground has always thrived and been bursting with creative and intelligent music. I don't care if a band has 5 followers if they make good music. you sound utterly devoid of any actual interest or passion for music, just keeping up with the latest trends.

@gravityswitch guess the bozos like wildcard have rubbed off on me. You can go back to the beginning of this thread and see that wildcard was the one to first use vulgarity, not me. The only reason I use vulgarity here is to dish it back to those who use it against me.
