Nailed it! MVII is my favorite, but MVI is almost as good.

I always forget there's an MVIII too lol
It's also good but just not as memorable.

first song in, amazing stuff so far. finally the production is better than sounding like it was recorded inside a wooden shed on a Russian boombox placed in a trashcan
fun piece of trivia I found out - Blut aus Nord, whose name is in German, are actually French. Meanwhile Paysage d'Hiver, whose name is in French, is actually a Swiss German guy lol

Finally gave this a proper go and I'm awestruck... This is easily a top 3 BaN album. Absolutely epic and grandiose. It could actually be my fav BaN, need more spins to get there I guess but I'm pretty sure this is one of their best efforts. They successfully combined all the elements that made them a legendary act

Was playing this on vinyl this weekend, and the album comes with a booklet of artwork. Several of the art pieces are clear allusions to famous Roger Dean era Yes album covers, including the floating planet shards, but reworked to be darker and more ominous. Anyone know about this obviously deliberate thematic? It's super suggestive.

I didn't but that's super cool! I'd love to check out a booklet at some point.
