god do they actually?
because that lame shit would not surprise me in the slightest for this fucking dumbass band
|

Easy to shit on this band because of the gimmick, but is there actually ANY good metalcore coming out anymore? It's all the same watered down, predictable rubbish.

Can't think of anyone no but then again I don't really follow metalcore aside from the most mainstream ones
|
| |
Aside from the Converge sized elephant in the room, for poppy metalcore no i dont think so, actually the last Motionless in white single went kinda hard and theres a new Amity affliction album in April i think?
For intereating stuff: Mathcores about it and maybe Static dress
|
| |
I certainly wasn’t counting Converge in what I consider the current mud puddle of poppy metalcore.

Thats fair

New Greyhaven is tight but def not this style of “metalcore”
For the record I would not call this metalcore. This is pop music with 8 string guitars and a couple of screams. So just barely better than Sleep Token, which is also not metalcore
|
| |
I legit want Popcore to be an official genre
|
| |
PopCore
A subgenre of metalcore that takes influences from modern pop music. Aiming to retain some of the metalcore heaviness while lacing with catchy pop beats, choruses, electronics. Probably created by both Enter Shikari and Bring me the horizon, one could call Thats the spirit the origin point
Bands of popcore: Sleeptoken, Bad Omens, President (Uk), later era Architects and BMTH , Poppy, *the australian band that did a 180 after releasing a metalcore classic*
You will notice that these are all rather shit bands
|
| |
New Greyhaven is excellent, but I associate that as more a punk rock/rock n roll album. I'm talking your Bad Omens, Of Mice and Men, I Prevail etc.
Insanely toothless production and riffs, and tacked on clean choruses and breakdowns.
