whoa you were wikuk? cool didn't know that. And really glad to see I'm not the only one enjoying the hell outta this album. A Sense Of Purpose is good too, but I kind of love their whole discoq so....haha

You don't seem to be a huge fan of Clayman, which surprises me.

no actually. I mean, Only For The Weak is one of my favourite songs by them, but as a whole, i think Clayman is their weakest effort. Got old fast for me. That's teh only IN Flames album that has even gotten old to me at all. So that's quite an achievement on Clayman's part

shit man there's Bullet Ride, Pinball Map, Clayman, Satellites and Astronauts, Swim and Suburban Me as well
|
| |
Hmm, it's actually my favorite by them.
I still need to give Subterranean (sp?) a listen.

same + Lunar Strain

Subterranean is awesome, such sexy melodies. Make sure (both of you) to get the remastered version with the bonus tracks. Don't remember much from Lunar Strain other than I preferred early Friden over early Stanne

Clayman is awesome and Subterrean sucks... how Wikuk sees things.
Edit: nevermind what I said, I mixed Subblabla with Lunar Strain. That's the suckish one.

not gonna start another In Flames argument that never really leads anywhere. Instead I'll just back up BigHans and say that this is a great album and far from terrible.

Agree Metalstyles, this isn't melodic as their earlier days but is a great modern mainstream metal album.

That's the problem with people here, sometimes they don't just put things in perspective. Great example is Metallica's newest record Death Magnetic. Expecting Metallica to pull a 180 and release a "Ride the Lightning" esque album in their early 40's is ridiculous, sure the record isn't the best they've done but it's a hell of a lot better then the trash of St. Anger and was a fantastic listen. Similarly, In Flames has taken a more mainstream, less melodic approach with this and while it's not on the same level of their earlier albums, it's a fun listen and has lots of great moments for me. The Quiet Place FTW.

Tbh this isn't so bad as many people are making it out to be. The Quiet Place, My Sweet Shadow and Touch Of Red (damn that outro is sweet) are goodie as well.
I would call R2R a great modern metal album, that shit rocks.

Death Magnetic was boring and uninspired.

If Death Magnetic was boring and uninspired I'd like to hear your description of St. Anger... lol
