Will O' the Whisp remains one of the most satisfying chord progressions I've ever heard, Sorceress is alright its just paced like shit

Some days when I’m feeling particularly hipster I’ll proudly say Pale Communion is my favourite Opeth album

I cannot get behind this lmao.

i imagine there is a guy who judges an Opeth ranking by how high blackwater park is - if it's #1 they're too casual and if it's below top 5 they're trying too hard to be different

Any album with eternal rains will come is an instant 10/10 and the production is top notch.

BWP is currently #4 for me. Still an incredible album, but not necessarily the first Opeth record I go for when I want to jam them. With that said, The Leper Affinity is still my favorite Opeth song overall. Perfect track from beginning to end

BWP is 9th for me. I still love it but I've always thought it was overrated.

I've probably listened to Blackwater Park more times than any of their other albums. In all honesty I love their whole discography but their first few albums and Deliverance and Damnation are their best.

And again, I'm sure Last Will will grow on me. That's far from a concrete ranking at this point

I'd rate Deliverance much higher but other than that, that is a good ranking.

maaaan we got some pretty wild takes on the last couple of pages, especially from the ICV gang. that record to me is one of the biggest slogs I've heard in the entire genre.
