At Jan 6th they were definitely running a flag through the building. You can try to make an argument that some of them weren't racists, which i really don't see the point in why. I'm sure you mean well. To me the moment one starts standing toe to toe with those sad sacks of people they're all the same to me.

Isreal has admitted they can't route out hamas, have no endgame plan, and refuse commit to make any peace plans. It's very obvious they have no plans to cease warring and have now invaded Lebanon. There's no reason to support a settler colonial project that bombs innocents because they view them all as savages and beneath them.

My wife is no fan of lawlessness and intimidation on London streets either because she’s also a grown up, we have discussed it. We also both have careers you would not openly support either side in a conflict like this (esp on social media - I could not change my profile to a flag etc) because it would risk showing political bias, you could lose your job over this stuff. My employers send emails at times like this explaining the risks of doing so. For my wife it is even more of a sensitive situation, she must be seen as politically neutral - it would be grossly negligent and potentially harmful to others for her not to.



Even my trade union is neutral in the conflict, it’s by far the majority stance, by far and away. There is no controversy condemning support of a legally defined terrorist organisation in the UK as again even my union (who are politicised, diverse, socialist obviously) have openly said that of Hamas and would strongly suggest not wearing slogans supporting such groups in the same way they would have during the recent UK riots.

You would be alarmed how much your employer and potentially colleagues can find out about you for a start.

This thread is just proving how difficult is for people to realize that maybe their stances are actually closer than they may think, but refuse to calmly come to terms by embracing scarecrows and flags...

Bigotry always benefits from the victims on its side because it gives the bigots an excuse to keep on with their fanaticism agendas under the disguise of "retaliation". I know of at least two other sput users who read on these topics and know of the help Hamas has received from Israel, or the help Hitler got from zionists, for example. I would recommend a lot of books on these topics but I know its futile, since most people have decided already what to believe or what "side" to pick.

Also secret services like CIA, KGB, Mossad, etc... are by all definitions terrorists groups. They just have the mediums and the means to hide it very well under countless intermediaries and puppets (leading to false flag crimes). Again, countless of good books and data on this topic. Since most people here are Americans (I am not) I will mention the inflaming influence of russian intelligence on the bigotry that led to Jan 6th (among other things) for example. Since the goal is to desestabilize, secret services may simultaneously use groups of polar opposite stances in the political spectrum to start/augment bigotry on both sides and create conflicts, something akin to what is known as a pincer movement in militar strategy. Think very carefully about the info you're fed and if you are a bit sane think about the victims, which is the only side we all should be picking.

I won't say anything else on this topic since I have very bad memories of sput discussions in the past...
