I still appreciate the link though ;)

This Leprous release is definitely a grower. It's still my top album of the year, so far.

"that comment was before that song came out lmao"

precisely, found it rather humorous myself. posted for comedic value more than anything.

As far as this album is concerned; I put it on the other day to see where it stood in the few months since having last listened to it.

It's still not quite scratching the itch for me. Not bad, but a little...bland on the whole. Has some moments, but I feel like I'm "stuck" in the sound they had going on between The Congregation and Malina.

The only reason I even come here in any more is to say that I saw a band lol

Yeah, saw Leprous last night. It was great.

Atonement rules. Working my way through this for the first time. Also love the spacey feeling of My Specter.

Lmao there is no way on earth that this has the same average as Aphelion

Agreed. I can't believe this is tied for last place for average album rating (even if the average is 3.5).

There was an r/progmetal thread asking for the most disappointing releases of 2024, and this was by far the most mentioned.

I don't get it.

I guess Like a Sunken Ship hyped people up, because screamz, and then no other track had any screamz so people went pee pee poo poo in their head

I really like this album, despite being somewhat more of the same. It's pushing in a few great directions and the execution is great. Solid album

100%. It's sitting better with me than their last few albums, so it's weird seeing that be such a common (reddit, whatever) prog-fan opinion

Albums cool, kinda weird (shh hawks), but how the fuck did they all sit around in a room and go "Yeah this album art is it, this is the perfect image". Because good god that art is horrid

Don't do it. Tundra 4 is a dead giveaway that this blows.
