Machina has some stuff that just doesn't work but I think its better than this

Both albums have a couple of great ones and then about four or five solid tunes. Machina just goes on and on, always thought it a little overrated.
With Machina I’d take tracks 2-6, plus Wound and Age of Innocence, maybe With Every Light too.
With this I’d take 1-3 plus War, Goeth and Sicarus…then get Billy to write a few better songs! Edin is the best track on either album though.

Edin is the only song I really keep coming back to on here.
I'd say Stand Inside Your Love is better though, if we're doing best tracks on either album.

The instrumental work at the end of Edin sounds like the most fun and intuitive thing they’ve done since Siamese Dream really, or parts of Mellon Collie more likely, they actually get lost in the groove and it’s a bit of a head banger at that moment.
That beats Stand Inside for me but that is indeed the second best song on either release. I have to also state I find Everlasting Gaze a bit of an irritant at times but I know some people rate it highly.

this is growing off me hard. I don't get the comparisons to their earlier material and it has no staying power. I'd rather listen to Zeitgeist
