“Every song kind of does the same thing” isn’t that with every Ulcerate album and 99% of Death Metal records? Either way, each song has their own individual place in the album and are distinct from one another. For an album like this that’s more tight and focused, that’s what matters the most

Yeah, kinda, I mean we can agree that even within the grounded scope of dm/bm it's nice when things are shaken up a bit. I'm certainly a more casual dm fan and an even more casual Ulcerate fan so my perspective on the genre isn't as robust.. Stare Into Death was great and I thought that had nice enough distinctness between tracks. And, to be clear, I'm very much enjoying this album, it's probably just a needing-more-listens thing. It's definitely a bit less one-note than a lot of what's out there
