I think that’s for sure the make or break kinda condition. I love black metal so they work perfectly for me. That’s always been my favorite screamo trend, just completely embracing the black metal influence. Probably why I love Portrayal of Guilt so much too tbh

It’s the vocals and blast beats, which is absolutely not the only things that make black metal, well, black metal.
Kinda why I mentioned Portrayal of Guilt because i think that’s def a screamo band that really has a lot of black metal tendencies.

The bm influence is very clearly there. Its not a straight up bm album in any way, shape or form but there's definitely bits and pieces throughout the entire album. At least to my ears and I've been jamming bm for 20 years.
