jack wilson does make another bad comment by saying adler plays only "blast beats and double bass" whenever he only plays one or two short blast beats in the whole album

After AOTW I thought this was kinda disappointing. Too much of it (Redneck, the accompanying video, the big multi-tracked vocal moments) reeks of demographic-pleasing box-checking corporate interference. Also, where are the amazing solos mentioned in the review? I counted about two competent little licks on the whole disc. Petrucci has nothing to worry about...apart from Dream Theater sucking ass, but that's another story.

Some of the riffs can get repetitive, but I disagree completely on them trying to be the next Pantera. To many people made that comparison when they heard Redneck, but the rest of the album is different.

Lamb of God are a wicked band. But yes, their older albums had a lot of the typical double-time like intro, which goes into a half-time grooving verse. Very similar in sound. My two fav. songs of their older stuff is 11th Hour and Ruin. Sacrament is definately a step forward. Descending is one of my fav's, i believe Mark brought it to the band and Chris tried to diss it off the album cos it wasnt 'metal'. It turned out to be one of the best songs on their i believe. Redneck is ok, tho it is very simple in structure, not like classic LOG. And i dont like Randies attempt at a Phil-esk voice, i prefer his natural voice.

This is my only Lamb of God CD, but it's awesome so I think I'll check out their other albums.

This is a really great cd. I was listening to it in a traffic jam today and I honestly think it helped me stay calm. Beating on Death's Door and Walk With Me in Hell are sick.

Anyone catch these guys on Conan? They played "Pathetic" and Randy looked weird, has semi-long hair now.

I saw it. It was pretty weird to see them on there. Randy did look kind of weird. It was funny when randy almost fell trying to jump up on a ledge.

I've tried to explain this to my friends countless times, but he just never seems to learn. *Sigh*

Redneck has such a killer vibe to it. And I like how LoG are channeling more and more of a Pantera vibe with each release.

IMO, ashes of the awake and sacrament are their best releases... but i hear more often this one because here we have the best track EVER made by them.. Again We Rise.
